At what age did you get your first house?
I'm turning 25 this year and hopefully building a house with my girlfriend. I'm getting a mortgage of around 450k with a 40k deposit and government grants of 35k to go towards construction, it seems like the right time to buy,
Hoping to use it as an investment property later down the track, And then build my dream home.

26, 30 now, hopefully getting my second house before I turn 31.

No house yet, I'm 25. Paid off my student loans, paid off a modern car, now I'm just saving + investing. Plan is to start looking into real estate at around 27 or 28, buying a $300kish home with 20-30% down. Contingent on a lot of things, like job stability and income growth, but I think it's doable. I'm particularly interested in Texas / Colorado areas, and building a new house (potentially in a planned living neighborhood, extra deals that way).

I'm about to start looking for a home again, and I will have one within a year, so I'll be 26. I was about to buy one at 25 but then stuff happened,

got my first house at 25, then a couple of years later the crash in 08 happened. Got into my second house in '17. This will be my forever house, other than getting a few small income properties

At 28 years old I bought my house and was the best decision ever. Fuk paying off someone else’s mortgage and having to deal with landlords. I was engaged and getting married when I was buying it.

First house @24, on second house now at 31 and also have a investment property (was wife’s before getting married). Best thing I did was buying a starter house, made enough equity to have a solid down payment and enough to buy furniture etc for my second house. First was 1500 and current is 3600 sq ft . Furniture is expensive and so are all the moving expenses, you def want to be ready for that.

I'm 24, Toronto bruh, no house right now. I can afford one but only a small condo with like ~7% down. Would rather wait a year, save bigger down payment, get higher salary and hopefully wait for prices to come down a bit. Looking to buy a townhouse which currently goes for about ~700k
