why don't people go on a 0g fat diet, so that their body can't make more of it?
i think low carbs is not the answer. if people instead had NO FATS, then you are taking away pathway for the fats to be stored. so that leaves carbs, which gives you energy, and protein, which can be shuttled into muscle building.
the only thing i would say, would be to take fish oil, and small amounts of essential fats, so that your body can make testosterone (from cholesterol)
i also think its pointless to eat FATS, and then tell yourself you'll burn it off later with exercise. i read somewhere you have to RUN the circumference of a football field, just to burn 1 m&m

ive done it plenty of times, eating legit 0 carbs is straight up impossible tho unless you nothing but straight glucose syrup or sugar
i just feel better with lower fat if im really shoving down food, fat bloats me and makes me feel more lethargic
but you need fat for fat soluble vitamins

If you eat above your TDEE but with less than 10% of your calories coming from fat, you'll eventually start converting carbs to fat via de novo lipogenesis (look it up).
So that means you'd have to eat 600-1000 grams of carbs with very little fat, I suggest you try it OP, it is actually very hard

Do some research on how the body stores fat. Fat is needed for proper metabolism and carrying nutrients and vitamins You will store more fat from eating simple carbohydrates like sugar and processed white flours.

Also fats balance your hormones next to all the other benefits. Hormones play a role in how your body operates including energy consumption.

Op it is very difficult to eat literally 0 grams of fat.
However if you mean added fat then thats different. You could easily eat nothing but chicken breast/fish veggies and pasta/rice all day long and lose weight comfortably. (Withing reason not 20k a day)
Ultra high diet in carbs is the only way to enjoy mass quantites of food without ever getting “fatter”.

Sounds trollish and zero is obviously bad cause you need some to shuttle micronutrients but OP isn't wrong. You need carbs or your lifting sessions will suck and you need protein for obvious reasons, fat not so much so mostly carbs and protein is the way to go for maxx body composition for a lifter.

I've been on keto for a bit and my lifts have suffered a little but not as much as you would think. If I could comfortably eat carbs I would but keto works pretty damn good for fat loss. I havent even been trying to lose fat and I've gotten leaner just eating when hungry. I'll be curious to see how a bulk goes on keto.

A zero fat diet is impossible and stupid. Fat is essential for many functions.
That said, I do believe high carbs LOW fat are superior (where calories are kept constant). Too much fat makes me feel sluggish. Carbs keep me looking full and vascular, I get MUCH better workouts and I feel great.
The trick is finding carbs that are easily digestible for you while avoiding any possible intolerances (gluten?) or the plant defences (phytates, oxalate, lectins)
White rice, fruits, honey, potatoes (no skin) are the GOAT sources.
