Usually i would prefer a bludgeon but he is huge and strong so the expected go to weapon would be spear. Spear was the superior weapon for thousands of years for a reason. But he is too big and strong, i wouldnt want to be within his striking range at all and he would likely be bringing something with considerable reach i would go the opposite tactic and choose a small stiletto and wait for him to leave an opening to shoot in get under his weapon and start stabbing hoping for the best
