Anyone here only get into personal finance / investing at a later age?

Like managing to break the paycheck to paycheck cycle and actually started saving to a point where you now have assets and investments that bring passive and/or portfolio income?

Been investing since the day I started working

Don’t know how it works in Australia but in the US we have tax advantaged retirement accounts

Take advantage of those first, put the rest into a regular brokerage account

Buy index funds like VTI, SPY, etc over mutual funds that rape you on fees

Limit the stupid chit like individual stocks, cryptos or any of that to like 5% of your portfolio - that stuff is pure gambling unless you know what you’re doing

yeah cuz ive been in university for like 30% of my life bro

but yeah what ^lib said. Max retirement accounts.
Get a better job that pays more, cut down your expenses.
