So misc... is 1 cigarette per week that bad? srs
so misc, quick question.
I never smoked before (well, I tried it when I was 13yo, but I never had the habit)...
Happens that I'm the only one in my social group that doesn't smoke...and don't interpret me wrong, I'm ok with it, and they don't make any pressure but...do you think it is ok to smoke a cigarret per week (when we get together) as a "social interaction"? Will it harm my body in any way? My gains?

Smoking is a terrible lifelong habit. Don't start, because once you start you will always be a smoker. dead srs.
The nicotine buzz is amazing but you will always continually chase it and it will never be as good as the first one.

Not really. Harm from smoking is greatly overrated - sure it's not good but it usually takes at very minimum 30 years of 1 pack a day for you to really develop any serious health problems. Lifetime smokers usually die at old age, albeit a bit sooner than non-smokers. However as someone who used to be social smoker and turned into full blown one I recommend to stay away from "1 cigarette a week", you might not even notice how you become addicted until its too late.

Nah, if you are gonna smoke once a week, there are better options to choose from.
You would be surprised just how much time I have to waste.

But yeah, the reason why I made this thread is cuz I dunno if 1 cigarrette per week can damage my body or get me addicted to it.

Ive been going out with them for years and they are completely ok with it... I mean, they don't even talk about it. But I was thinkings about random **** and I thought like "Probably 1 cant harm me... so why would I be that guy that do things in a different way if this **** probably gonna have no repercussions in my body!?".

No, 1 cigarette isn't going to cause long term problems in a life time.
But you're almost guaranteed to increase the amount you smoke, it's fairly common for people to become addicted with just one even mentally.

Once you start it's hard to quit.
And even after you do quit...years later...you're watching a movie...the scene is under the moonlight on a calm lake...a couple looking up at the stars in a canoe...the guy lights up a cigarette and youre like, fukk, that looks good.
Save yourself while you can.

Smokers disgust me. They always seem deeply unhappy to me, fellas. They really do. Degenerate addicts living their horrible lives cigarette-to-cigarette. Trying to go about their daily routine, but constantly being distracted by the thought of inhaling that next fix. That flavorful goodness. Always lurching outside of buildings, lingering in the grimy darkness of the dim city lights. Just miserable human beings. Miserable addicts. A life of pure misery, boys. Not just miserable within themselves, but they seem to gain a sick pleasure from spreading their misery to others. That smoky misery. Wafting their nasty fumes around everyone. Attending a nice dinner and ruining everyone's appetite with their smoky jacket. Every smoker seems to have that one jacket they always wear. That smoky jacket that has absorbed decades worth of second hand smoke. They never wash it either. They reach into their pocket and a dark grey cloud puffs out into the fresh air. Everywhere they go smells of their stinky cigarettes. Like one big cancer cloud. One big cancer cloud raining on everyone's bright sunny day. I've grown to despise these miserable addicts. I truly have, fellas. – GeekBrah

Even if you smoked 2 cigs everyday id dought it would cause notable differences problem is if you will never be able to keep it down. Even at one a week will turn to two a week then three a week and so on. I stopped smoking for 8 months then had one puff (tasted like chit) then a week later had half then days after started again. That chit is real addictive dont smoke if you can help it.
I wish i could smoke one cig a day pre workout and be done withit but i cant.

This is seriously the most retarded thread I've ever seen on here.
Take this advice from a brah who smoked for 7 years and took atleast a dozen attempts to quit before finally beating the addiction...
DO NOT PLAY WITH FIRE.
Beating nicotine addiction is a living hell. Most people can never ever escape its grasp. Do not think you can casually smoke one dart a week and that will be it. You WILL become addicted.
Dont be a stupid fukk.

If you start smoking, I will come over to claim your house and disrespect you in front of your entire family for even bringing up the thought of performing a life destructive activity like that for the sole reason being "just cuz".

Actually scratch the cigars, they have nicotine too. Not sure if cigars are not as bad for you as cigarettes, but I do know that you are meant to puff them rather than inhale.

Yea, don't start.
Like you I'm not a smoker. But I've smoked exactly two cigarettes in my lifetime, and both times I kept thinking about how great that short-lived buzz was for a few hours. Almost scared me how much I psychologically wanted that 10-minute buzz again. Never got that feeling with vapes or nicotine pouches, makes me think it's the MAOIs present in tobacco.
I've taken things that are much more powerful and far less legal than cigarettes during my dumbass years in undergrad, never even got close to being addicted. Don't play with fire.

hard to get addicted to cigarettes if you're under the age of 30 and in a vacuum. the majority of your peers will look at you like you're inhaling rat poison, and then go and smoke electronic cigarettes until their little lungs can't take it anymore.
lmao, cigarettes are stigmatized to a disgustingly unfair amount, to the point where all the nicotine industry had to do was create something that is not a cigarette but still has the same fix, and bang fix that issue up real quick. sad.

Smoking crack once a week probably isn’t that terrible for your health either, but would you ever ask that question?
