Wife issue - MISC doctors unite

So my wife is refusing to go see a doctor and wants to "wait" because superwoman.

She woke up this morning experiencing a sharp pain in her left lat / shoulder area. She could not move her left arm for a few second and then the pain radiated away.

She is 35, about 150 (part hawaiian) and jogs / runs occasionally....so I don't think it was a heart attack or anything. I was thinking something pressing on a nerve or a related issue. That location and symptoms tho...I treat my body like a roller coaster and i've never had an issue like that. Pretty worried.

What could it be?

Did she do anything that would cause pain in her shoulder/lat area? Google symptoms/signs of womens heart attacks. Pretty sure I've read that they can present differently than the typical signs men get.

Does she do heavy weights? Or any sort of heavy lifting? How high can she mover her shoulder up - like 90 degrees or 180 degrees?

Does her shoulder drop when she raises it up and keeps it for few seconds?

I think she either pinched a nerve or has capsulitis - frozen shoulder. Doubt it’s the rotator cuff unless all of those above questions are a yes.

Came to post this. I get this all the time now in my mid 30s. Chit, I can pinch a nerve in my neck shampooing my hair or drying off after a shower. It happens extremely easily in my case

Solid post doc. Her range of motion and ability to maintain an elevated arm position is great. She told me when I announced what the Misc doctors said that she was moving cinder blocks around in the backyard the day prior. Probably just a pinched nerve.

Wouldn't it have made more sense to ask her if she'd done anything that could cause shoulder/lat pain before coming to the Misc to ask a medical question?
