It went from being cool wrestling with gimmicks and larger than life guys like Hogan, Warrior, Andre, Stone Cold to The New Day and women main events. I like Sasha and her old feuds but they pushed this too far. I don't get why they don't just go back to their 1996 style....but even that was too hardcore for today's era. It wouldn't fly today.

So glad I grew up with late 80s to late 2000's wwf, kinda stopped around 2010ish though. Still check in once in awhile but last few years was awful everytime

Like 90% of wrestling gimmicks were centered around sloots, womanizers or racial stereotypes. I havent really watched it but remember everyone talking about it late 90s early 2000s and watched a few at the time to see what the fuss was about.

No idea wtf they do these days with all the gimmicks being "problamatic", what do they even have now the "divsersity warrior" or the "equal wages warrior" who audits records to see if women get paid the same.

That's the thing is they can't run any good storylines or give the wrestlers open mics anymore. They still have a few cool gimmicks but they don't draw, then they just bury them. They have to rely on old guys like Goldberg and Undertaker to draw lol.

Arena is empty because covid.

But in general wwe is boring. Wrestlers have no gimmick or personality anymore. Everyone is the same generic wrestler. At least in the attitude era and before wrestlers had something to make them different but now theyre just plain and vanilla.

I used to be OBSESSED with wrestling when I was a young kid in the attitude era, with Stone Cold/The Rock/Undertaker

It was truly entertaining back then. Not even the matches but the promos were amazing. So many great storylines, so many cool characters.

I tuned into wwe a few weeks ago for the 1st time in years. Was blown away by how chitty it has become. How does Vince McMahon let his happen? I would almost release every character they have from their contract and recruit an entire new roster. Bring back some balls to the show. WWE wont be long for this world if they continue down the path they are on.

I just dont get how you can go from the epicness of the attitude era to what it is today. Its pathetic.

Vince was always the problem, he knew how to promote but when it came to booking he's a complete moron. Vince McMahon is like the George Lucas of wrestling, gets far more credit than he deserves.

I was absolutely obsessed with it growing up. I mean I'd watch WWF raw, heat, and livewire. I'd also watch WCW Nitro, Thunder, and Saturday night. I'd also rent PPV events and rewatch them over and over. I remember having a different wrestling shirt I could wear everyday of the week in school.


It's pretty sad how bad it's gotten. WWE is absolutely unwatchable now. Ill watch Wrestlemania and the Royal Rumble and that's it for that company.


The only stuff I can tolerate is Impact and AEW now.
