Havent seen a really tall person after 2012

Something is up here. I used to see really tall people semi frequently, especially in the 90s, been fewer and fewer. Tallest person I seen after 2012 in person is probably 6'3''


90s:
- this girl in school her dad was retired NBA player 6'10''
- hulk hogan in a target store
- camp counselor was like 6'8''

2000s:
- professor was 6'8''
- friend was 6'5''


Last seen my 6'5'' friend in 2012 and that was before the end of the fiscal year. Havent seen a super tall person since, just your average 6'3'' level tall.

Yeah race seems to be an important factor for height. I’m white but I’m Mediterranean and generally we are the shortest Europeans on average. The area where I currently live is around 90% white, I am 5’7 and some change without shoes mid-day. If I go to a store with a larger population near me like a grocery store, I see a lot of very tall people. I would say 3/10 women are taller than me and 8/10 men. I see a lot of 5’9-5’11 women and a lot of 6’1-6’4 guys. As for 6’4-6’6+ that is quite rare.

If I go to an area not far from me, near a college that has a lot of Asians, Pakistanis, and Indians wandering around and in an area with lots of blacks and some whites and Hispanics living there and go to a grocery store there I’m taller than probably 40% of the men and 80% of the women.

Wrong. In the US, height peaked in the 90’s and has been slightly decreasing since. My brother’s uni in a midwestern state has a ton of dudes 5’10 and under srs
