Actually getting an Ovcharka this time.

Put down a refundable deposit like 9 months ago. Wife got worried. We decided to abandon the idea.

Now that the whole country is literally on fire, wife is back onboard.

We found breeder who selects puppies for homes based on temperament. Has the dogs professionally evaluated for personality before selling them as either family dogs or livestock dogs. has them in socialization training from a couple weeks old, and starts them in professional obedience training at 4 weeks. Going to put down a deposit and plan on continuing professional training once we receive it.

Yah. It's hot AF here but we blast AC all day. Will have a dog door, so it can come in whenever it wants. A guardian dog is no good locked out of the house.

It's bred to be a livestock guardian. Anything small and defenseless, they guard with their lives. It's actually strange adult humans and other dogs that are ever the slightest problem.
