What is your 1 rep max squat? (POLL)
How much can you squat for 1 rep with good form, and legs at least parallel to the ground.
Also, what can you do for 10 reps?
EDIT: forgot Under 185 lb option
Just treat the very top answer to include under 185 lbs

405 before I quit squatting for good.
I quit both squats and deads after I hit 4 plates and 5 plates respectively. The risk-reward is completely not worth it.

Yeah heavy squats and deadlifts can be dangerous. But why not just do lighter weight for it and higher reps? Squats and deadlifts are the king of mass building.

you have to condition your body so the weight feels light. it’s what most powerlifting programs do but they don’t build much muscle

Heaviest I've done is 315 for 5, calculator says I'm good for 355 for a single.
Mainly just do 225 and accessories these days, 38 now and trying to keep my knees until I'm 90. Plus I normally lift at 5am, **** all that lmao.
EDIT: Said 305, meant 3 plates.

I can’t even squat my bodyweight no more
-Some people say good things come to those who wait, truth is, good things come to those who work..... who work later.....who work harder...... who are willing to go further than anyone else to get them. If you're waiting for good things to come to you, you'll be waiting for a pretty long time.

Haven't 1RMd anything in like 3 years. Recent squat is 415x5 = ~465x1?
I'm sure I would be at 5+ plates pretty easily if I back squatted more than 10% of the year and/or cared about 1 rep sets haha

"The flowers bloom, then wither... The stars shine and one day become extinct. This earth, the sun, the galaxies and even the big universe, someday will be destroyed. Compared with that, the human life is only a blink, just a little time. In that short time - people are born, laugh, cry, fight, are injured, feel joy, sadness, hate someone, love someone. All in just a moment. And then, are embraced by the eternal sleep called death."
