Why didn't Goldberg go to MMA?

Goldberg was a freak in his prime. Quick as a cat and one of the strongest humans on the planet at the time. In the late 90's he could have kicked some ass. LOL at how easily he picks up a 250 lb Tank Abbot here.

Goldberg was all show and no go in pro wrestling. WCW protected his lack of wrestling ability and got him over with squash matches and his one of a kind look and charisma.

Also don't forget he played NFL pre WCW so he had no combat background.

why when WCW is paying him higher than any wrestler they had and he is treated like a top teir star without having to work his way up the ranks? MMA would have been a much harder road without the guaranteed success he had in wrestling.
