My rule is if I can walk out of the gym without limping, then I didn't do it right.

Like I said...You have the lower body and you have no upper body, you got a problem building...wait a minute. You have the upper body, and you have no legs, you got a problem building your legs. You have the upper...you have the lower body and you don't have the upper body, the upper body, it is easier to build. So if you have the lower body and you don't have the upper body, it is easier to build the upper body. You have the upper body and you don't have the legs, you got a problem building the lower body... No, you don't understand. You have the upper body, but you don't have the lower body, you got a problem building downstairs. You got the up- legs on the bottom, it is easier to build on the top, so you don't have much as a problem. Yeah.

Good chit.

I'm still stuck with outside workouts so leg day is a ton of bodyweight and backpack squats, incline and regular lunges, jump squats, stair calf raises, and hill sprints.

Whatever, chit still gets sore.

that's what my legs days looked like (before gyms closed) minus the thrusts. can't see how you would do sprints now without risking injury though.

That the order you did it? Why the ham curls first?

Today I did:
Tempo/pause squats (high bar)
Bb calf raises
BB BSS
SLDL
DB leg curl
Hanging leg raises

Training legs once a week for a while. Most I’ve done in one session in quite a while. Dead.

400m intervals so not sprint sprints, just relatively quick pace. wouldnt do all out sprints for sure after leg day, but these felt good. did 6x400m@ 7min/mile pace w 2 min rest in between

I'll let John Meadows explain the logic because he's forgotten more about lifting than I'll ever know, but I can say what he says here about squats just FEELING better after isolating the hams first is spot on -

For me I've found the most effective way to train legs is just 7-8 working sets (Plus 3 of calves) two different days per week. Day one is more hamstring/glute focused. Day two is more quad focused. So just 14-16 total sets per week on upper legs, 6 totals sets per week of calves. So it really only takes about 30 minutes for me to hit legs in a single session. They don't get too sore. I never walk out wobbly. Etc.

Since legs are one of those muscles that can really move a ton of weight I feel like I can train them a bit more effectively if I split up the front/back portion of my legs.

I think you should definitely add some sets to this routine. Not nearly enough volume here.
