Guys who quit drinking full stop, did you replace it with anything?

I.e. caffeine, smoking, or some other legal substance to get your fun?

Heard some guys microdose phenibut instead of drinking but the sides from coming off of that can be worse than drinking itself.

How microdosing for alcoholism works
Microdosing psilocybin has been shown to have several positive effects on a user, in general, how it affects the mind and body is thus.

An increase in creativity, alertness, and focus
More energy and a cheerful happy feeling
Greater awareness of one’s surroundings
Being more open to social settings and forming connections
Psilocybin works on neurotransmitters in the brain, altering the way that serotonin receptors communicate. Through this, it increases the amounts of the serotonin present. This creation of extra serotonin, as well as it’s maintenance, causes a person to ‘trip’ on a normal dose. With a microdose, however, you don’t experience a full trip. Far from it, the purpose of microdosing is to gain sup-perceptible benefits, meaning not conscious. Via the aforementioned benefits of microdosing, individuals suffering from ailments such as cancer and depression (often linked) are seeing real change in their mentality and mood. This has been supported by a growing number of medical trials taking place over the last decade.

You don't have to quit, just find what works for you to not have hangovers.

I try to drink early in the day so that when I go to sleep I am basically sober

I drink tequila exclusively now and that has pretty much made hangovers a thing of the past.

Plenty of hydration after I finish drinking, and before I fall asleep for the night.

It's all good.

Nothing. Just decided one day it wasn’t for me anymore. Drank one more time ~5 years ago at a basketball game. That was it.

Hardly ever desire to, either. In the fall I wouldn’t mind getting a 6 pack of pumpkin ale’s or an occasional Woodford Reserve, but I made a commitment to not drink ever again and so far so good.

Grow them yourself. Spores are legal to purchase (for microscopic use). You just inject them into a bag of precook rice and wait 3 weeks, break them open and let them sit in a shoebox sized tupperware for another 3 weeks.

quit drinking full stop

-few days of vomiting, delirium tremens, hallucinations, unable to move or eat

Didnt really replace it with anything substance wise, caffeine intake increased I guess. Weird going through the entirety of 2020 sober.

Also I quit dipping at the same time, the two normally went hand in hand. Quitting drinking sucked A LOT during withdrawals but the tobacco cravings were much stronger, they lasted well over a month. I read or heard somewhere if you can avoid nicotine cravings for 3 minutes then they disappeared. Idk if its true but it psychologically worked for me.

TLDR: Quit drinking and tobacco 8 months ago cold turkey

Be aware if you have an addiction and stop too abruptly you can have seizures or die in some cases.

I started drinking coffee.

I always loved caffeine and usually got it in the form of preworkout sand fat burners. Once I stoped drinking alcohol, I started drinking coffee though.

I drink just black iced coffee.

I feel like its borderline addiction.
I can go 2 or 3 days without any, but then i'll really crave some. To be honest it seems to happen most when I'm bored, so obviously during lockdown I was drinking more, but often alone. In total I'd say about half a pint of vodka every 2 or 3 days.
I'm on day 4 of no alcohol at all which is the longest i've gone in a while and have no sides. Just want to tone it down now before it gets worse.
