Pros: games that actually have solid and creative gameplay and not trying to force their micro transactions down your throat

Goat library of games
Brb god of war, metal gear solid, grand theft auto, final fantasy, kingdom hearts, resident evil, Star Wars battlefront

Cons: graphics outdated of course but a game will solid gameplay will compensate for that. Limited online capabilities. Wired controller

What, there's PS2 emulators out now? Are they really complicated to get working?

At any rate - PS2 was a solid system. I've only had 3 consoles in my life though, but PS2 was one and I thought it was very good. I could certainly still have a lot of fun with one of those.

cons
- colors usually look washed out, pretty bad pixelation
- original console you will need component cables and a tv that can take them (no hdmi out on ps2) to get a good picture

pros
- a lot of good games, giantic library
- can emulate on computer, improve graphics and play on modern tv/monitors over hdmi on pc
