Howcome They Do Not Make Romantic Comedies Anymore?

Not a fan of them but I watched several with girls back then(so no homo).

Before, we got movies like Sweet Home Alabama, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Along Came Polly, Sleepless in Seattle, Nothing Hill, You Got Mail, etc etc etc.

Past few years, I dont see romantic comedies with top names. What do girls watch these days?

Love a lot of the romantic comedies from the 30's/40's/50's...watch the numerous old ones.

One that isn’t talked about much but has Chris Evans which is good is Playing it Cool(relatively recent)

10 Years is great

Cuz the new demographic of girls dont want quirky romance, they just want to tinder smash, post for the gram, and travel.

The movie would just be a mishmash of random one night stands, netflix and chill, getting black out drunk and posing in front if tourist spots.

Aka demographic has changed.

I stopped watching new movies around 2 years ago (a couple exceptions). It's especially cringe when they try to incorporate/force the image of today's society i.e instagram, lgbt rights etc etc. It just feels fake and off putting.

They don't make movies like they use to, hell even the soundtracks suck ass

Korean dramas. A bunch of really quirky scenes yet dramatic crying in the rain type of series / stories of boy meets girl. Think "The note" book but dragged out in like 20 episodes.

I actually didn't even know other nationalities watched these besides Asians. One of my employee's daughter rattled off a ton of the titles & they're a super white family from Michigan. Apparently they're all over netflix.

You're not allowed to depict make/female relationships in movies anymore. You couldn't accurately depict anything in those movies you mentioned either, but now it's even worse.
