My dad was in a crazy war. He had to fight at 19 yo I think. He says at first you're scared, then after doing it a couple of times you dont really care if you die or not. His nerves were wrecked though when I was a child. I would say from like 24-40 he would get mad very, very easily. He's calmed down a lot now.
