are still trying to play their sports in front of empty ****ing stadiums. Some ****ing Orwellian **** right there. Miami marlins just had a huge covid outbreak and had to cancel a bunch of games. God forbid if we don't have sports for a year in the middle of a pandemic.

Seven to eight figure yearly salaries, along with opt out options should they choose not to play.
Yea, poor players.

Athletes want to be at work and feed their families just like us. And you have to realize it’s not just athletes out of work. It’s all the people who work for their team. Trainers, doctors, massage therapist, coaches, announcers, equipment managers ...ect.

Sports are more important now than ever before to distract the bored, low class people shut at home.
If all the sports are able to successfully get up and running you might actually see the civil unrest die off outside the paid stuff.

they are SUPPOSED to be testing every day. and even in the dug outs you can see them wearing masks. they also "distance" themselves too
but i heard announcers say it right, hopefully marlins testing positive scared them a bit and makes them keep up with protocol.
imo if they are testing everyday and are in their isolated little groups, shouldn't be bad. as soon as someone tests positive, isolate them. given what's happened that may not be what they're doing but theoretically testing everyday should largely nullify the spread
