Deadpool - he has been a member of the team for a couple of times.

If he doesn't count:
Shadowcat/Kitty Pride - I like how her powers encourage intelligent sneaky aproaches and also the fact, that she somehow owns an Alien pet dragon
Beast - I like the combo of being a monster outside and a Shakespear quoting scientist on the inside.
Legion - insanely powerful and an amazing plot device to create some psychedelic adventures.

Worst X-Man:
Wolfsbane - It's a whiny furry named "Rahne" whatever kind of name that is.

Magneto

Obviously the most powerful mutant in creation; and thus—everyone's wildest fantasy—to be the most powerful being in all creation. Magnetism controls everything. It stops the body—it stops the brain. There's no getting a thought, a wavelength, an energy or mass beyond the power of magnetism. Pretty deft thinking by old Captain America Stan Lee when he obviously had thought—"What would make the most powerful being in all creation?"—to effectively seize the entity of that character as his own. Reminds me of the 'Alpha the Ultimate Mutant' story, where the Beyonder or someone thinks to capture Alpha in a zoo for display. It's said that Magneto is the one who created Alpha, but morso it would be the Beyonder that created him. There'd still be no getting past the power of Magneto, not even for the Beyonder (without being capable of equal power/output—in greater force/measure).

Mr. Sinister is an interesting one. He's a character shrouded in enigma, yet whose habits contradict his status. A geneticist, that apparently achieves God-like power, then he becomes idle and lazy upon it. He even becomes a full fledged fat bastard apparently.

I don't really find this kind of habit suits the high-energy dynamics of such potential. Moreso, like electricity, it constantly finds its way out, bursting to every corner. Suggestively, he was up there with Apocalypse on the power-scale. The A-Bomb just had quite a few years more experience than him, and that experience often makes the world of difference. The storyline states that this is actually who awakens Apocalypse, and depicts Mr. Sinster in almost a champion light. I honestly see the captivation of the perspective here, being that inspiration for this storyline was likely in collaboration with top scientists and military figures of the time. However, considering the Macrocosmic perspective, it would me moreso that Essex was the one who had (or spawned within him) the mutation that could begin new life amongst society. And it was Apocalypse who picked up on this brainwave/phenomenon when the event took place. It would have been this that peaked the interest of Apocalypse, to then puppeteer Mr. Sinister into the events explained, to fabricate the perspective all the lesser mutants have, for manipulative purposes.
Born Nathaniel Essex in Victorian London, Sinister became a biologist in 1859. He was a contemporary of Charles Darwin and became obsessed with Darwin's theories. However, Essex believed his peers were shackled by too many moral constraints and that their research should be beyond morality. Essex believed that humanity was undergoing increasing mutation, due to what he called "Essex Factors" in the human genome. He dreamed of bringing the perfection of the evolution of the human race to the masses. After the loss of his young son due to birth defects, he delved deeper into his work. Essex's theories were mocked, making him bitter, and his revealing of an unorthodox experiment resulted in his ousting from the Royal Society. Angry, Essex stated that if becoming a monster was what was required for his work to progress, then he would become a monster.[10]

Essex met with Cootie Tremble and the Marauders, the group he would eventually lead. The Marauders kidnapped homeless and neglected people off the streets of London and used them as test subjects for Essex's experiments. Essex ordered the Marauders to awaken the immortal Egyptian mutant En Sabah Nur, who would become known as Apocalypse. En Sabah Nur ordered the Marauders to take him to Essex. During this time, Essex's wife, Rebecca Essex, was pregnant with their unborn child and was shocked to find that Essex had dug up their first-born child to experiment on him. Nur met Essex and became interested in Essex's work. Nur offered an alliance with Essex in continuing his research. Left with the choice of continuing his work or his wife shunning him, Essex allied himself with Nur. Essex explained to Nur that Nur was the first born in what he believed would be a great mutation in the human race.

I'm surprised I was expecting everyone to have Wolverine/gambit and magneto

Personally I have a thing for Storm. She clearly has the most broken power, but they always nerf the hell out of her whether its in the cartoon or the comics. She can conjure up typhoons and hurricanes lightning and floods and blizzards, but is always incapacitated in the most mundane and anti-climatic way.

If she wasn't nerfed or worried about harming others around her, she would be able to defeat any conflict that comes her way.
