The destructiveness of smartphones isn't talked about enough

When we watched TV for hours each day we were told to go outside. When we were on the computer too much we were told to go outside. But smartphones? No one seems to care how much time you spend on it even though it's way worse than TV or the computer. People are full blown addicted to it but no one seems to think it's a problem.

If you're addicted to any of those things listed it'll be bad for you. You only have so many hours in a day, does it really matter which screen your eyes are glued to?

Like anything else in life - it has it's good points and bad points.

However, people who walk around in public staring at social media on their phones are subhumans that should be euthanized.

I was a UFC event last year and during the main event I saw a guy in a seat in front of me scrolling his IG timeline as soon as each round would end and the 1min break would start.

It's not smartphones themselves, it's social media apps that are destructive to the self and society.

All technology is a double-edged sword, but unfortunately our technological advances in the last 10-15 years all seem really heavily weighted on the self-inflicting point.
