SoCal and gyms are closed except a couple that ignored the governor's order. Surprisingly, crunch fitness franchise gyms are ignoring so I'm stuck with them. Gym gets way too packed with the worst kind of clientele. Skinny fat gym rats or cell techcels who take 30 minutes on the bench.

Our gym has opened with reduced hours. We've set the limit to 6 people every 10minutes in booking slots and 1 hour per session. . Seems to be working actually.

Been open for a while now and I am taking full advantage of it, lifting 5-6 days/week along with doing cardio 3xweek

Was pretty desperate when they were closed.

Crunch is a pretty decent gym, and that's where I've been going. My "main" gym is on a DoD installation and won't be opening any time soon I'm sure (they are following some pretty hardcore guidelines and the installation is still phase 0), but besides that Gyms have been open here since the beginning of June.

No. Been open for like three months I believe. Not 24 hours anymore so that sucks, but they have like eight one our slots for the entire day. You just reserve a time and show up. Always some what crowded, but nothing crazy.

LA

Gym has been open defying Gov. orders during shutdown.

They moved some equipment outside in the parking lot about a month ago after LA County Sheriffs came to shut it down.

Brb squatting in 90+ degree heat.

That's funny Crunch in my area is also mostly ignoring closures.

I've been driving 30 minutes to another state to go to LA Fitness and am now pretty much back into regular shape, so I'm not as mad about closures as I was before. I don't go to the gym as often, but since it's an hour of commute time I get a really intense workout every time.

The biggest drawback for me is that I can't workout in the morning, which is the best time. I am an absolute animal in business when I get an intense cardio workout in the morning.

I'm hoping COVID scares all of the Boomers away from my gym. Would be really nice to come back to a younger crowd after things open back up.

My gym keeps opening and then closing back up, they've been really inconsistent with drafting my account.

I haven't been to a commercial gym since March. Slowly building up my home gym, I have more than enough now for a decent workout. Still waiting on a cage, but my janky DIY squat/bench stands are doing ok.

Same here. It is nice how empty it has been. I have a decent home setup but I missed dumbbells. I can't see my gym staying open very long though. Not a chance this is profitable.
