Not a single drop of alcohol for a week, feels good mane

Don't know why I was doing it srs. After a couple days of minor irritability and trouble sleeping, by day 3 that was almost gone and by day 4 completely gone.
Lockdown just got me in the habit of drinking out of boredom and/or to help me sleep. Have no desire to have any now, expected much bigger cravings but I wasn't heavily drinking beforehand anyways.
Workouts feel much better, sleep quality much improved, face looks healthier, eyes not dry, mood more regular etc.

Legit the boost in workouts is very noticeable. I'd usually struggle to finish and just feel burnt out, I'm getting far more reps in now and have a lot more energy. Some of this is going to be due to being properly hydrated and regular sleep

On a deployment and haven't drank in almost 10 months...can't say I don't miss it, but I wasn't a heavy drinker to begin with. Can't wait to get yucky with the boyos.

I haven't drank since July 4th weekend. Had a pretty tough wisdom tooth extraction two weeks ago so drinking the last two weekends wasn't even an option. Feeling a lot better now though so definitely gonna get a little yucky this Saturday night.

idk how anyone over 23 can drink reguarily.

After 23, I'd get a hangover after ~2 drinks, no matter how much water i drank after.

meanwhile in college, I'd drink everclear + some cheap diet soda on friday, wake up saturday at 9am, walk to house party, and drink from 9:30am-2pm, then again 7pm to 2am

4 days in now. Feel so much better in the mornings. And so much more productive during the day. It's seriously hard for me to do anything productive the day after drinking.

Also, no waking up between midnight and 3am, with it being impossible to go back to sleep. And overall just feel happier and more content.

“I feel sorry for people that don't drink, because when they wake up in the morning, that is the best they are going to feel all day-”

Seriously tho, congrats. I used to be a heavy drinker. Stopped this year. I might drink 1 beer a night now. Never again do i want to go back to that chit lifestyle... waking up in the morning in a fog, confused, chit sleep, etc. Keep it up.

Gjdm. After drinking at least 5 nights a week for about 7 years, I haven’t drank anything in about a month and feel great.

Crazy thing for me is it wasn’t even intentional. I went on a high-altitude vacation for a week and didn’t drink b/c I didn’t want to feel like ****, and once I realized how much better I felt, I just haven’t wanted to drink since.

Keep it up, it helps a ton with diet too.

If you're cutting but still want to drink, ditch the beers. A bottle of beer is almost the same amount of calories as a donut.
Switch to Vodka mixed with diet soda, or JD and coke zero etc. 70 cal a shot IIRC
