Do people seriously "make" thousands of dollars in a few hours in trading? *Example*

I have zero experience with trading, but I often see people keep making banks with their fancy trading sites and their multiple screens setup

I follow Brandon Carter on IG and saw his IG stories while taking a shirt this morning

Dude made a few grands by doing stock trade stuff. And this just happens "all the time"

Is this **** legit? Any miscsers make such money regulary? Are the money all yours?

yea its possible but its not really liquid cash.

but theres a lot of charlatans out there, so dont believe everything you see or read.

Anyone that does really have a handle on the market has no reason to tell you. Its their vested interest to keep it to themselves. Plus super computers can easily beat anyone.

But yes it is possible

I don't see a single trade on his instagram, but I don't have an instagram account since social media is for *******s. I do see evidence of orange juice consumption and a ton of cringey quotes.

1.) Trading is stupid, enjoy your 30% capital gains tax if you can even manage to profit.
2.) Selling early to capture gains is actually more likely to make you miss out on additional growth.
3.) Most people with significant investments could post 5 figure "gains" every few days with how much the market swings.

Day traders can make large amounts of money short term but almost always pare those gains with losses somewhere down the line, and that's what you don't see


Long-term investing can net you dividends plus growth over years

So it isn't something worth your time unless you are extra skilled or have an unusual interest in such? Meaning in the end, you won't really profit as much as you would like compared to all the time you spend on it
