Almost 9 days ago, I went on a date with a girl who works as a nurse (no pics). But long story short, a couple people on her floor contracted COVID, so they made her get tested this past Monday and she was positive. She has very mild symptoms (lack of taste, smell and a headache).

She sent me a text today telling me and because I thought it would be better to be 100% transparent, told my boss that I had been in contact with her almost 9 days ago. She was already paranoid about the whole COVID, so this visible made her uneasy and said she would need to contact HR. Now for the record I am showing zero symptoms and feel fine.

She talks to HR and come to my office (wearing a mask, lol) and says that HR needs to know the girl’s name i went out with for contact tracing. I refused to give her the name, because I felt like it’s a privacy issue. She was adamant, but I still refused to give out her name. The girl I went out on a date with is obviously aware she is positive and self isolating herself in accordance to guidelines.

She sent me home (with pay), saying that she needed to figure it all out... I mean that was 9 days ago, I could be positive, but I feel like I’d have symptoms by now if I wasn’t asymptomatic. Boss was visibly mad that I wouldn’t tell the girls personal information.. did I do right?
