Everytime I go to the store I get a new mask as I walk in the door.

By the time this thing is over I hope to have a full box of masks.

We aren't locked-down anymore. We dealt with it properly the first time, got the numbers down and are now able to contact trace and isolate the few infected while opening up businesses and the rest of society.

I don't go to the gym anymore. I bought my own equipment.
Canada's response was mostly quick and coordinated — it closed down schools and promptly told people to stay home, according to The Guardian. Its borders were shut off to every country but the US on March 16. (The US-Canada land border was also closed on March 20.)

In the US, weeks were lost as different states went into lockdowns at different points, or at different "half-hearted" levels.

Politics mattered, too. While President Donald Trump was hosting daily coronavirus briefings where he criticized governors, and wrongly suggested disinfectant could be a coronavirus cure, Canada's leaders mostly came together and took the coronavirus seriously.

Regional differences were put aside. Even right-wing leaders, like Ontario's premier Doug Ford, condemned attempts to protest social distancing.

It's a hot night. The mind races. You think about your knife: the only friend who hasn't betrayed you, the only friend who won't be dead by sunup. Sleep tight mates, in your quilted chambray night shirts.

to be fair it just re-opened recently. Toronto was one of the last because of it's population:
People in Toronto and Peel Region can eat inside a restaurant and catch a movie in a theatre starting today, though they still have to follow physical distancing rules and other health measures.

The two areas are joining most of Ontario in Stage 3 of its economic recovery, which allows most businesses and public spaces to reopen.

People are now allowed to expand their social gatherings to 50 while indoors and up to 100 are now permitted to gather outdoors. City bylaws on physical distancing remain in parks and squares as do mandatory face covering bylaws for all indoor public spaces.

More than 800 playgrounds and play structures, community and recreation centres as well as libraries are now open. Outdoor playground equipment will not be sanitized and parents are reminded to keep their children two metres apart from others when possible.

Toronto city council has also enacted a series of additional health measures beyond those set by the province in preparation for restaurant and bar openings. These include:

Maintaining at least two metres between groups of people and no more than 10 people at a table.
Masks must be worn at all times when not eating or drinking.
Guests must remain seated while eating or drinking except to enter, exit, paying their bill or going to the bathroom.
At least one guest from each group must give the bar or restaurant contact information
No dancing and no buffet-style food service
Sports facilities are allowed to open but team sports can only be played without physical contact or they must be modified to avoid physical contact. Organized team sport leagues are limited to 50 players and only 50 spectators are allowed to attend indoor sporting events while that number increases to 100 at an outdoor facility.

Fitness clubs can reopen but with physical distancing rules and no more than 50 people allowed inside a facility. Class space is limited to how many people can safely participate while maintaining a two metre gap. All equipment must be sanitized between use but steam rooms and saunas remain off limits for the time being. Face coverings or masks can be taken off during exercise but they must be worn when using other areas of the facility.

Windsor-Essex is now the only area still in Stage 2, with health officials saying they want more data before further loosening restrictions.

The region has been grappling with ongoing COVID-19 outbreaks on farms and said earlier this week that numbers have been on the rise in the city of Windsor.

It's possible. We'll have to see what happens. The virus is so infectious we don't know how much it can be mitigated without a vaccine.

I don't think we'll be quick to lock down again and put that much strain on people and the economy unless it is absolutely necessary.

I wear a mask whenever I go into a store...however, today I went down the wrong way in a Food Lion aisle.

An old lady pointed at the wrong way sign, but I kept going. Now, I feel terrible...

This bad feeling is just not worth it.

Lmao. The people who put on the aisle direction stickers have no idea how their customers navigate the store. At least most stores are now requiring masks to enter though.

I'm 26, will move out with her in ~ 12mo once we can buy a house outright with no mortgage. About 3/4 of the way saved up.

Meanwhile you're a 40 something and will forever be a childless, single lonely weirdo whose only attention comes from liberals on an internet forum taking pity in him. What's that like?
