WTF is up with doctors and specialists?

All of them are doing only facetime calls. If you don't have an iphone it's strictly a telephonic meeting. You're only allowed inside and their assistants check vitals but the real doctor cowers away in their office or their home.

How tf is that even legal? BRB charge an arm and a leg but never even physically see your patient. I've been going thru though with 2 different docs and have witnessed this with many others... My cardiologists wants me to buy an i watch series 4 or higher so I ran record data and send it to her.. WTF?

This covid BS is an excuse for everyone and everything.

Allow me to red pill you on doctors. No family physician has ever cured any disease or ailment. All they do is tell you to wait a few days, administer a test that does nothing for your ailment, or write a script to treat a symptom but you are still sick and feel bad, and then they take your money. Doctors are mainly propped up by schools and employers because of dat dere excused absence slip.

In my clinic we only do telehealth for people who are complaining of upper respiratory symptoms/fever.

Telehealth brings in a lot less revenue than face to face and is generally annoying to do for us because we cant physical exam. But such is life in covid world.

Everyone else we bring in and see face to face

And i bet you still have all your grave and serious ailments. The doctor says that chit because 80% of patients in their office are the same ones with the same chit problems and its generally in your head and due to your lifestyle

Huh. I always thought there was something about me that the Dr's wrote me off or I had a ****ty doc. I've complained in the past to my friends but they look at me like "whoa, are you talking bad about Doctors, the greatest people on earth?"

Doctors are really just a mechanic for the body. No different really than your car mechanic.

They both just diagnose and treat symptoms.

They aren’t doing research and building something new utilizing scientific principles. That’s the engineers - biomedical, mechanical, electrical, and maybe some industrial who are doing that. It wasn’t a doctor that built an MRI machine, it was a team of engineers.

Bump. Sad to see someone in here say that this is a weekly doctor hate thread.. It's not.

The person I'm going to is a great doctor, but I've never even met them yet. 3 appointments in, I'm paying full price cash and I'm doing all the leg work while she deciphers the information.

Most docs are doing this type of service right now.. I am disappoint. Feels like a total con with yet another "insert XYZ excuse due to covid-19".

A dog has experience. It does not mean you can trust the dog to integrate the cutting-edge as well as someone more talented.

I'd consult a Harvard Medical School fresh graduate who never practiced once before a nurse with half the talent.
