I have to wonder if you actually understood what she was saying or are you just fishing for reps in an ocean full of liberal hating miscers. Either way, what she saying isn’t necessarily wrong, it isn't relatable to most people nowadays.
Crazy how people post how stupid she is yet there isn’t a single thread about her verbally castrating Ted Yoho after he went full miscer mode in front of the media.

Quick google gave me this result about the other Hawaiian statue in there (King Kamehameha, wtf, Goku.jpg)
The statue in the Capitol was made from molds taken of the Honolulu statue. It was dedicated along with a statue of Father Damien, Hawai'i's other gift to the National Statuary Hall collection, at a ceremony held on April 15, 1969 in the Capitol Rotunda.
https://www.aoc.gov/explore-capitol-...t/kamehameha-i
Should've done some research as to why that statue was there in the first place, because it's unfortunate that her point is missed because of that.https://www.aoc.gov/explore-capitol-...t/kamehameha-i

Father Damien was a great man. Imo there should be statues of both as they both had a significant impact in that region.

But there is a statue of said queen....

There actually exists a German opera named after said queen, so she isn't really that forgotten.
I think she is on the right track to look out for the natives being represented, but this seems like a bad example.

shes fuking retarded, its one statues of many, there are literally palaces remaining dedicated to king kamahama over there. she is falsely trying to stir up chit 7000 miles away from her district. Maybe if she was worried more about crime in the bronx than hawaiian statues she could made a difference as a congressman.

Hurr Durr crime in my district is a result of societal oppression and lack of opportunity but more importantly why do we have statues of white males around this country!??!

She had to look really hard to find some obscure figure to accuse of being a white supremacist.

This story is similar to the story of Father Crespi of Ecuador.
The Father Carlos Crespi was also an anthropologist with connections to the Vatican. He was assigned to Cucena, Ecuador where he remained for 59 years until his death. He has a statue dedicated to him in the city.
It is said that Crespi's devotion to the people led them to bring him ancient artifacts. Crespi was such a good guy that instead of just giving these poor people money, he would give them mioney for the large plates of precious metals they brought to him. What he gave them was not nearly the value of the objects they brought to Crespi, he said he did this as to not shame poor people with handouts, so he underpays them instead.
"He knew several local families were poor but that pride prevented them from asking for money, unless it was as payment for something."
Crespi essentially set up a pawn shop in Ecuador as well as labor camps and now they want to make him a Saint.
lol
The objects that were found were described as "metallic plates" in the Babylonian style. Here is what some looked like

These metal plates were large heavy gold plates worth many fortunes which Crespi did not pay to the locals. Crespi ran a pawn shop in a jungle of desperate people.
All these objects were lost in a "fire" of a Vatican commissioned museum.
There was some evidence of Giants found.
For me the most interesting part is that objects from Assyrian, Babylonian and Egyptian sources were found in Ecuador. The influence of Mesopotamia is worldwide.
I'm sure this man from Hawaii was no Saint, he was likely sent there to do the devils work.
The more you know.
