When they people say a bad diet I think they are meaning stuff like poptarts and donuts. Bacon eggs and hashbrowns is hardly that unhealthy.

"I am like getting the feeling of cumming in the gym; I'm getting the feeling of cumming at home; I'm getting the feeling of cumming backstage; when I pump up, when I pose out in front of 5000 people I get the same feeling, so I am cumming day and night. It's terrific, right? So you know, I am in heaven."

if you're a lean and active man, you have to eat like a pig for awhile to gain even a slight paunch.

but the fatter you are, the easier it is to get even fattier.

Eggs & bacon are very filling. If I have say eggs & bacon + avocado & a hsh brown for breakfast (equivalent 2 toast slices) then I don't need anything except fruit or coffee until dinner, when I go large again.

Notice your meal was heavy on protein & fats= full feeling= you won't overeat. Seen many studies where given carb heavy meals, people just keep on eating. carbs make you crave more carbs. Same study given a fat/protein table= didn't overeat even if offered delicious foods all they can eat. This study was repeated with footy players post game btw so relevant to frequent exercisers.

Now I'm not young I put on fat easy if I smash carbs for a day or two. Easy to do if all your food is prepackaged processed shiz.

Stuff like a plate of bacon, eggs + fried veg you tend to make yourself. The sheer time/effort of making whole foods tends to stop you from gorging when you don't really need to.

They’re talking about calories. It’s hard to work off a 3000 (or higher) calorie surplus from your basal metabolic rate
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

because getting fat as fuk takes a sht long of time and vice versa when it comes to losing weight/fat.

you don't get obese by simply overeating a few days a week during 2-3 months.

I'll bet my neck on my metabolism against every single person here. 6 months of takeout, once/twice a day all Mc's and Pizza Hut (+ occasional noodles), working from home. Waist has only gained half an inch through all this time, body fat went up 1-2% (turns out I'm 26-27%).

Problem is, that kind of relaxed diet doesn't let you keep your gains long-term (i.e. no more than 6-9 months) cause it will catch up to you. Empty calories, a hard day at work and not enough sleep slowly chip away together at your gym progress until you hit a wall; then demotivation kicks in and life, and next thing you know you're average again.

Diet and recovery are 50% of the work. And like others said, even with godlike metabolism, it's extremely difficult working out to destroy excessive calories. The going rate is 3500 calories/pound. A 6 mile run in an hour burns over 800 calories, bottom line is you need to run 16 miles at 3.7 mph to lose 1 lb.

Mostly about calorie intake as a whole. And eggs and bacon aren’t really that bad. It’s the go to breakfast imo.

This, thread/ anyone can eat ice cream and bs processed food if in caloric limit. Eat thousands above your daily limit and it doesn’t matter how many cals you burn.

Wat? Yes you do, look at any ex fatty that reverts. Doing good and bam, blows the truck up. I’ve also put on 30+lbs in a month. Have never kept going, but it’s really not that hard. It’s significantly easier to gain weight then it is to lose it.

You sure? I can try:

(Don't mind the Chinese, yours is probably better than mine) From last year; you got 5.21 km (3.23 mi), in31'15"burning427 caloriesat a steady speed of 1 km every 6:00 minute (6km/hr ~ 3.728 mile/hr)

calories/minute: 427/31.25 = 13.664 cal/min

so calories/hour: 13.664 * 60 = 819 cal/hr (a little over the "750" I guessed)

1 lb = 3500 calories, so to burn 1 lb you gotta run for: 3500/819 = 4.269 hours

If you're running for 4.269 hours, you'll cover 4.269 (hr) * 3.728 (mi/hr) =16 milesoooh, I got corrected (would rep, I'm on r/c). Will edit post

If your goal is to be 15%bf or less, you can't out exercise a bad diet
If you're happy to be 30%bf, eat what the hell you like and it won't affect your 'gains'

The fact that you think bacon, eggs, and hashbrowns in the morning is eating like chit is pretty indicative that you probably don't have as chitty of a diet as you think you do.

Breakfast for the fat version of myself was a giant muffin, a big cookie and a bunch of cups of chocolate milk... Then anything else that was sweet nearby until I felt "satisfied." Try out training that type of eating in conjunction with going to Wendy's twice a day and getting:

3 Double Bacon Cheeseburgers
2 Large Fries
1 Cup of Chili
1 Large Regular Coke with a possible refill

And that is also not inclusive of the snacking I did between those meals. I was clearing well over 5-6K daily.

Calories are king and anybody who says "I eat whatever I want but don't get fat" probably doesn't understand what it is like to have an appetite that doesn't stop. If you "constantly over eat" but don't gain body weight, you're not over eating and you aren't in a caloric surplus. Basically, not gaining weight is indicative of the fact that your caloric intake probably isn't as high as you might think.

i eat like chit, meaning whatever i want... i also lift stupid retarded and go heavier than i should throughout the week.. is my cns fatigued and feel like chit outside of the gym most days? yes. do i take dmaa/dmha almost every workout? yes... but am i still making gains? yes

point is, it's all relative, you can eat like chit depending on training intensity... but if i ate 'healthier,' yes most definitely, i would probably be better at everything gym related.

and no im not bragging or saying my way of lifting is right in anyway, it's not sustainable but i do enjoy going heavy in oly lifting (snatch, c/j, back/front squat, pulls, etc.) and eating so there you go..

if i don't lift and don't change diet at all, i get fat and bloated as hell.. quarantine was not good to me, like i still lifted here and there (wt at home) but no heavy oly lifts and a lot less intensity and gained fatness.. so diet had to be cleaned up... but gyms opened up and back to the regular heavy sessions and eating whatever the hell i want

so yeah, you can workout on a bad diet, but you better be going near m.e. in training... but remember, whatever progress you're making, it could probably be better on a clean diet, whether you want to do that is up to you, i honestly don't give a chit and train/eat the way i like

If you're not gaining or losing weight, you are eating at maintenance, not exactly rocket science. What the saying means is that if you are eating 1000cals over maintenance and think youre going to lose weight by working out harder or longer and burning an extra 200 cals a day, you're still going to be gainig fat since youre still only burning lets say 500 cals a day.
