Daily move to Texas thrad

I got a new job in Texas that pays more, so I will be moving back there at the end of August. I've lived there before, but am a Tennessee native. There are a lot of similarities, so I fit in quite nicely.
Texas has wide open spaces, relatively low cost of living if you go out to the suburbs and rural areas, big parking lots and spaces for your big redneck truck, nice big gas stations everywhere with cheap fuel, wonderful food and polite, friendly kind hearted Southern people, gorgeous sloots, a lot of opportunity for making even mo' munny if you hustle. Christian conservative values for long term mental and emotional stability, and everyone is family out there.
It does have a few drawbacks, though. I don't like having to have a front license plate and that stupid registration sticker in my windshield, and toll roads are kind of a scam. It's also even hotter and more humid than TN, but you get used to it. I have to carry a hand towel around with me in the Summer to wipe my bald head that sweats too much. I also ran into the problem of Mexicans who hope you run over them or into them for the insurance money. They will pull out in front of you or walk in front of your truck on purpose.
Anyhoo, I hope to buy a nice Barndominium in a rural area in a couple of years. Living in the sticks, you can pretty much do as you please. You can rent a bulldozer and build up a mound for a firing range, you burn your own trash in your fire pit you dig, get fresh eggs from chickens that are easy to deal with, and the property taxes are relatively lower in rural counties, tough they are still on the high side. I'm bringing my drumset, too.
Once I get back there, then fuk off, we're full.

I'm looking for a place in a rural area about 30 minutes away from work.
I also got my offer letter for more money that I asked for. I make $42K now, asked for $52K and they are giving me $60K. I about had a heart attack.
That's a 40% increase and I never thought Broadcasting would ever pay me that much!

Nothing on this planet is worse when a californina moves to texas. This should be illegal and a felony punishable by death. You know how you ruin texas you let californians move there.
