Fedex

Order ships from San Diego to Spokane Washington on Friday

Arrives in MEMPHIS TENNESSEE on Saturday

Arrives in Spokane Sunday

Not due for delivery until today so they just fukking hold onto it for 3 days until today.

All Fedex packages move through Memphis. They use a central hub instead of the spiderweb system of hubs the USPS uses.

FedEx has been 100 times better than USPS for me. Amazon has been dope too they take a picture and send me it of it on my porch

I just don’t understand shipping somthing 4000+ miles when the two points are barely 1000 away

I just got fedex delivered yesterday and day before. I don’t understand just sitting on a package for a few extra days just because, they coming to my house anyways.

It seems counter intuitive but the Fed Ex CEO at one point said he could cut the price of stamps in half by running the USPS like Fed ex does through a central hub

I understood OP a bit differently. He's saying it took them a shorter amount of time to deliver it from the source point to the local depot, than it is taking for it to arrive from the local depot to his place.

Not really a FedEx fan - they seem to have a high concentration of disgruntled workers - the type that "lift a package off a truck at waist height and drop it from that height onto the floor". I have seen this happen multiple times near where I live.

Amazon - yeah, take photos of deliveries, with the "Tell us how we did". Das it mane.

lmao that is fedex 110% erry time. They will deliver it to your city then hold it for delivery no matter how long.

The amount of chit that has got lost at my local hub is unacceptable. Fedex lost an ENTIRE titan power rack once. That chit never showed up. Same story, got to my town in 2 days then waited a week until delivery then they couldn't find it. Fukkin worthless.

I avoid orders that are shipped with fedex, amazon cut ties with them too. Even the shiity usps is better than them sometimes

It’s really just maximizing the capacity of their planes..

Any given day there may only be let’s say 5000 packages strictly from SoCal to the PacNW..
It’s expensive to fly a plane so there’s no reason to launch a pilot in that specific route mostly empty

However if you can fully fill a cargo jet with all of the daily SoCal packages and send it to a central location, your shipment can be sorted and flown back with the rest of the country’s PacNW packages on one fully loaded jet with vs flying dozens of half mty jets from all over
