Miscers who use to read/collect comic books have you noticed

Just how bad comic books are today.

I was ana vid reader and collector in the 80s and 90s and i still resd my old ones and buy back issues but recently decided to pick up a couple new ones as they featured my favorite marvel character and my god they are a joke. And at 3 dollars or more a pop.

Can chalk up comic books along with most everything else that has turned to crap in this centiry.

Are they down to 20 pages of actual content? I love the artists that struggle to put out 20 pages in 30 days...especially when they cut the workload by doing those single image 2-page splash pages.
I'm #12 in Y2J's "club"...and I'm scared.

This week on The Buff and the Beautiful: Colleen comes up with a new scheme to win over Carlos. But first she has to gain the trust of her captor.

For a start most comics are written for children. Second sales have been dropping for decades so they are desperate to pull in youngsters meaning you will probably see a lot of LGBT + POC characters that weren't there 20+ years ago. Third marvel etc. retcons continually so it won't be the same as your childhood comics. Fourth nostalgia is a thing.

TL;DR if you love modern comics after being a fan in the 80s, either you are reading the best 1% of the genre or you are an adult child.
