Have a lot of men also opted out of dating?

This is in response to the opt out of society thread. I don't know anyone IRL who's openly stated that they've opted out of dating (or society). I mean we talk about how sloots gon sloot etc but generally we still try to get laid and hit on women whenever we go out. Hardly succeed but to say we've opted out would be an overstatement. Most guys I know still bring up women they've banged or are trying to bang within 10 mins of talking. Seems like most dudes know it sucks but still try due to sex drive or pressure to fit in. But on the misc I always read about guys completely opting out.

Do you know a lot of brahs IRL who have opted out of dating?

lmao men dont opt out of dating. Opt out means they have a choice. They get kicked out of dating. Make no mistake, anyone saying MGTOW is just a low value dude coping with a 'you cant fire me, I quit!' attitude.

Majority of this stuff is just online fodder. Plenty of guys I know have girlfriends who are chubby, arent rich, shorter, etc. There are a few that have 'opted out' as in they never are seeing anyone, never on dates, dont talk about women. Again they dont live on the internet and say stuff like 'Im opting out!', they just slowly accept that reality and fill their time with other stuff

Ever since this COVID nonsense started, I haven't really been on a date. Banged a couple tinder girls, but that's about it.

It's not that I've "opted out" of dating, I just really don't care. The physical act of sitting with someone for a couple hours is not something that I find enjoyable, and that might make me autistic.

Guys saying they are opting out is total cope because they aren't acknowledging their own status. You have guys who are 5's thinking they should be banging Instagram models and getting butthurt when they don't get a hundred matches on Tinder with their pathetic profiles and lack of social skills.

The goal should always be to improve yourself. Women and sex are a natural by product of doing so.

no $hit. dating is skewed against men

and women would rather chase after 9/10s or go lesbian than settle for a the average Joe.

Most people overrate their own attractiveness by like 2-3 pts

Both men and women struggle to date considering this

Not just men. I think people are starting fo favour quick no strings attached hook-ups.

We have become a world of easy, convenient and one-use consumerism, why would sex be any different?

Guys that complain about not getting women, along with women crying about not getting commitment, generally lack self awareness.

Had a friend that always made fun of fat chicks that showed interest in him, despite being a slob himself

Well that's what I mean as far as opting out. Personally I'm not into the hookup scene so I don't even bother dating if that's all its gonna be. Most guys I know IRL seem to welcome that kinda thing but are frustrated that women are doing it better.

That's pretty much what I've seen too from guys I know. They still do other sht with their lives and are generally happy, they just don't date. No one's completely opted out of living though rofl

Obviously yea, 80/20 rule. Very easily visible among dudes who are 25 and younger. I scroll thru my Instagram feed of old friends from HS and college...and it’s pretty obvious their peak was either HS or college

High value doesn't mean pretty with daddy issues...

I've at least gone dormant on dating for the past year or so and probably will be for another 4 months. Stuck living at my mom's place (grateful to save rent and be home, but), so I'm stuck in a small hometown, and it's not like I've got the looks for apps (5'8", bald at 24, not great pics, not great style, don't really look like I lift in clothing).

Aside from the few who are in LTRs/getting married, most of my friends complain/aren't great with dating either, even the guy who does pretty well with the apps seems to think he's an incel (?).

Idk. For me personally, just seems like it'd be a futile pursuit now. Hopefully be better off once I've cut and have a job and my own place next spring/summer, but we'll see.

I’ve opted out of serious dating because I don’t think I could ever trust an American girl in 2020 & beyond. Not cope tho because I’m still gonna bang sloots.

Ive found so many women that are in need of affection during this bullchit that imo its the opposite of the time to "opt out"

Now is the time to be alpha and not give a fuk about liberal panicelling and get out there and bang horny chicks. Let the scared types opt out while you reap the benefits of a smaller group of thirsty dudes women can choose from who actually still go out and have sex. Its been a goldmine.
