Yep, I have seen it twice. Wife has never seen it - will be re-watching it again with her eventually. The show is a masterpiece.

The wire has a special place in my heart, i rewatched it recently too, right before Sopranos, but Sopranos just edges it for me, although the Wire is definitely really close.

The wire and sopranos stand tall over everything and anything else though by a distance, IMO. The Wire's writing is probably better than Sopranos, but Sopranos edges it in most other domains for me. I also think the Wire's true magnificence is only apparent after you've watched the whole show in it's entirety and see how each season slots together seamlessly.

Doubt we'll ever see shows like this again, especially with the radical left screaming for most decent shows to be taken down. I'm honestly surprised the wire hasn't been targeted yet for 'glorifying' racism, corruption etc, even though if you have a brain it's apparent that it's actually a criticism of the corruption at every level in the system.

what season is that? why doe he need a driver? Doesnt even really seem the same either as earlier seasons.

im rewatching the show myself and im on season 3. Right after Chris gets made, fat dude who was wearing wire just got thrown off boat. Not really that good IMO. Deff not GOAT. Not sure why that gets thrown around so much. Lots of filler/lame episodes so far (go to italy, that black gangster rapper episode). Weird watching it to since its fairly dated. Back when pretty much no one had cell phones. I dont think i've even seen a cell phone until this 3rd season.
