Jewish miscers-is it considered ok for a non-Jew to leave a stone on a grave?
A friends father passed (tragic/not natural death) a week ago. My friend is a good dude, and the cemetery is close to me. I was thinking of stopping there tomorrow morning and leaving a stone. I’m not familiar this stuff though, and I know its kind of a religious tradition. What kind of stone? Is it okay to leave one when you aren’t Jewish? Etc

What a lovely gesture. It's totally fine for you to do this, it's a way to honor the deceased by letting people know that the gravesite has recently been visited. It can bring great comfort to your friend's family. You can leave any type of stone, even a pebble is fine. Great job on being a good person and an even better friend.
