Long story short, I was in charge of a DC Network for a big company (contract from my main employer). Team was about 5 people and we handled firewalls, routers/switches, load balancers and all VPN activity. I was the lead firewall guy and the other two were Cisco R/S and F5 stuff. After about 2.5 years we cleaned up their network nicely, upgraded the gear/code and moved a lot of their stuff to the I B M Cloud. Once they saw this they no longer renewed our contract because we were expensive and hired a cheaper (worse) company to handle easy day to day stuff. Covid hit and the company floated us for 4 months fully paid until they couldn't.

Now I'm one interview away from a Security Analyst role so I can eventually move into Pen Testing or DevOps. I know I'll get the offer because a former manager of mine works at this new company and referred me, plus I do well on interviews. So just wondering what the typical day is like for you guys? Official title is Security Analyst II
