This summer made me depressed as f**k
Basically I have not much to do now, so I started to see old videos especially from the aesthetics crew that was quite popular 10 years ago and that basically motivated me to start lifting.
Except for Zyzz that passed away 9 years ago exactly this week, I no longer see those guys, I check some linkedin and a couple are even successful engineers living a normal life.
Their "descendants" dont make for me, too much showing off with parties and luxury that it looks more poser than actual guys full of joy messing around.
Im in my mid 30s now, still in good shape, finances are ok and planning a new adventure next fall yet I cant stop thinking about the previous decade, from the carefree happy songs of the early 10s to the girls I "date" during those years while slowly my life turned into a full adult one.
Never really had any "30 crysis" when I turned 30 but I guess it arrived now mostly for the numbers changing on the calendar that leave no other choice than to realize that the world is overall different compared to 5 years ago and its basically a different world compared to 10 years ago.
Not sure if anyone can relate.

Yeah man. Corona has created a sort of timeless world and I think it has given more time to reflect, contemplate and be nostalgic. I'm sentimental by nature but find myself just wishing longingly for another time. This time last year I was doing LDR with my girlfriend but we were going back to do one more semester in Prague. The excitement of it. This year and since Corona especially, just drifting. I spent my 20's in college and travelling. Had a good time but could have been better if I was more sure of myself. I'm nearly turning 31. I regret and miss a lot. But I want to make the next years go great. Put this year down as a pause year man. You're doing all you can do. It's natural to look back on a different era and pine for it but in 10 years time, you'll prob do the same for this period.

Had my first kid this year which has been awesome, but basically I’m in a routine of work, come home, help with evening chores / etc, eat dinner, bed. Do some bike riding in the afternoons / weekends by myself. Def feels very monotonous and isolated these days. Can’t remember the last time I got to go out and have fun. Haven’t even been out to dinner with my wife in prob 7 months.
Last summer was basically a waste because I was selling and buying a house , which I pretty much handled all the logistics and finances of and moved a ton of chit in my free time. I def get it man.
