Two children robbed at gunpoint while selling lemonade

PEORIA, Illinois (KETK/NBC) – Two young boys in Illinois were robbed of their hard-earned cash while they were running a lemonade stand in their yard last week.

In surveilance video provided by neighbors, two males believed to be teenagers approach the stand. One of them displays what looks like a firearm and then quickly snatches the cash box.

There was roughly $30 inside the box. One of the boy’s fathers called the situation “terrifying” but was moved by how the neighbors responded. Some paid $20 for a glass after they heard what happened.

im starting to think people are just scamming now.

anyone remember that story of guy taking 200k out of atm and getting robbed of his life saving?

now these kids lost "$30" so cops wont bother chasing the lead. but i bet a gofundme is started and they get like 20 grand LOL

Good point, It would have some ground if not for the video, besides people from the community all chipped in to help the kids. If they really wanted to help they should sit on the lawn with shotguns and run the other kids out of town lol.

Entirely possible, but at the same time I don't doubt there are people stupid enough to walk up to someone in broad daylight and steal some chump change then casually jog away.
