Calling double edge safety razor bros

I dropped my merkur long handle a few years ago and replaced it with a target butterfly razor. The target blade finally took a chit and won't open. Thinking bout going back to the merkur. I kind of shocked it's the same price as I got it last time 10 years ago lol. Loved that thing. Is there anything better right now? Haven't dabbled in the razor scene in a loooooong while.
Virtue is its own reward.

I've had a Merkur for probably 12 years now and I love it. What's funny is the fact that after ordering all sorts of expensive blades off the internet the ones that I find the best for me are the cheap Dollar General blades. They are $1 for a 5 pack.

I'd step up to a merker futur, it's basically an adjustable hd.

It's not that much better that I'd upgrade from a perfectly good hd, but since you're in the market go for it.

Stay away from Rockwell, read the reviews on reddit all positive(possibly paid reviews) towards their razors, got one, thread wore within a year on the head.

Look for an old Gillette or one with a butterfly opening.
