Just lmao if you´re not buying platinum and palladium

Super rare precious metals that are cool to own. Gold and silver is nice too, but you want to have some platinum and palladium, and possibly some Rhodium in your stack as well. All the platinum ever mined can fit into two big living rooms, while all the palladium ever mined can fit into one medium sized bedroom.

Over 80% of palladium goes into cars (catalytic converters), and less than 5% of the total supply is used in bullion coins. So, palladium coins are super duper rare. Owning precious metals feels so go damn good, and is a good way of saving money, bury a treasure. And likely making money buying at these low price levels.

Palladium and platinum chad checking in.

Fun fact: Diamonds are not rare at all, and are overvalued in a sense.
Gold is 10x rarer than silver
Platinum is 10x rarer than gold
Palladium is 10X rarer than platinum

Rough estimates, but you get the point

Gold (or any precious metal) is not an investment but merely rank speculation. Its price is based solely on market expectations. Gold provides no internal rate of return. Unlike stocks or bonds it creates no intrinsic value through earnings growth, dividend yields, and interest payments. Speculation not investment.

Gold is the ultimate form of money, smartass. It will always have value, and is super nice to look at.
Silver, palladium and platinum are used in industry, and you can analyse the future need for those metals, just like you analyse the fundamentals of companies. If precious metals are pure speculation, then stock, real estate or any asset are so as well. You are speculating on wether the company will pay your divendets and not go under, or wether your tenant will pay. It´s all speculation. I have a degree in economics by the way. I bet you haven´t analysed the palladium and platinum markets

So what? We live in a different time now. Past performance isn´t a good measure for future trends. Stock market as a whole is overvalued. Commodities are mostly undervalued. Boom basta maddafakka

I will ask again. Have you done an in-depth analysis of the platinum and palladium market?

I dunno, out it under your house insurance or whatever. Don´t know the word in english. You really don´t need an insurance if you find a good place to store it. Buy a big safe that sound an alarm when someone open it. Or better, bury it somewhere on your property

I own a bunch of both and I am looking to sell.

Platinum is not retaking it highs and Palladium is only high due to its use in the automotive industry.

I bought my Palladium at $350 so I am making a killing but I lost a little on the Platinum, you can't win them all.

I agree on most of that but Palladium was demonstrably different. The tightening of restrictions on emissions (Palladium is used on catalytic converters) combined with the production of more cars over all made Palladium a wise financial investment and anyone that got in back when this was obvious made an absolute killing.

I bought mine @ $350, its over $2000 an oz now.

Now we are facing the opposite end of this equation. As electric cars wind up and ICE cars wind down the price of Palladium is unsustainable and will eventually fall.

Gold and silver are subject to completely different market forces and who the hell knows what is going to happen. I own them but have no intention of ever selling. I will eventually sell 100% of my Platinum and Palladium.
