What temp do you keep your A/C at? Especially Tx and South Boyoos. REPS

It's HOTTTTTTTTTT

when it's 95 + degrees every day, for 8 hours, what do you keep the A/C at?

75 during the day for me.
72 at night, but we'll press it colder soon.

Our elec. bill is about $140 - 160 in the summer.
Just trying hard to not be a fat sack-o-chit.

I'm typically fine with it being in the high seventies. Especially if I'm just sitting around. My car thermostat read 104 today. Just lol @ going outside right now

Yeah 70 gets the job done. 75 at least gives A/C a break. I've got 3 properties, trying to get a feel for how hard ppl pound their A/C units.

It's Fing terrible. I went to San fran for 4 days this summer. It's like another Planet with comfy temps.

DFW area and I have it at 75.

OTOH when I was in MI IIRC I had the heat set down around 62 in winter. Not right away, you have to work down to it and still will want a sweater or a blanket.

Virginia at the North Carolina border. It's hot and humid as fak here.

72 in early summer.

Once we get used to the heat, we set it to 75.

75 in early summer feels too hot, 72 in late summer feels cold.

It's hot as schit in Quebec in the summer, especially this summer. I think we beat some records. Consistently at 35C with 100% humidity driving it well above 40C. On those days, I bring my AC easily down to 19c. Nice and cold.
*Look at reflection in car window and flex every time crew*
*Use half the roll to wipe after a poo crew*
*Fart in the gym and blame rotten smell on faulty ventilation crew*
*Fart at home and blame it on the dog crew*
*Watch neutron-star density poop mock me as water flushes around it and it stays put crew*
*Drive 2 minutes in the summer and back of shirt gets completely wet crew*
*Coffee black as midnight on a moonless night crew*

Yup, that unit has to work HARD to keep it that low during the day. I like to let it "rest" during the day, so I can run her hard at night ( that's maybe what she said. maybe )

What's $300 when it means being comfortable inside 24/7 for an entire month. 10 bucks a day just lol.

Agreed 100% as a renter/ tenant. Why not, if it goes dead, it's someone else's issue.

Homeowner, seems like an excessive work load if your A/C blows in 10 yrs.

Eh not really. I always factor in 2% home value per year for repairs. A $5k repair job 10 years later only costs like $45/month. Again definitely worth being comfortable.

If you're one of those morons who saves nothing and buys 'home warranty' policies then sure I guess I see your point.

year round is 75 cool, 68 heat, dual mode so I haven't touched the thermometer in ages srs. Lol @ sleeping in anything above 70 degrees.
