I kind of understand it. Way too many food writers *Alison Roman* whitewash food. It's not a spicy chickpea stew, it's a curry. Or when Bon Appetit editors refused to allow Hawa Hassan to showcase food with the actual words they are called. So I can understand the weirdness of "Asian stir fry." Especially if your job is to write about food, how difficult is it to accurately describe dishes? Random Instagrammers? By all means, enjoy your spiced meat skewers with pressed yogurt and garlic sauce.

I'm having a hard time following you here. They shouldn't refer to the place of origin like "Asian stir fry," but instead just describe the food? Wouldn't that be the "appropriating" part? Where they take the food and not give credit for where it comes form?

I didn't do a good job explaining. I don't know what an Asian stir fry is. I do know what chow steak kow or moo goo gai pan is, for example. "Asian stir fry" comes across as lazy and whitewashed.

While this dumb bitch cries about white people appropriating food from her "African Roots™", there are other blacks in this country dealing with real life and death issues, like blacks killing themselves in the inner city, like black's disdain for education, like black abject poverty which is fueled by the aforementioned two issues. This is what happens when you grow ip upper middle class and don't have enough real issues in your life.

It's down right irresponsible for Vice to publish BS like this. In a white majority country, it's somehow a problem that all the Google searches for vegan lead to white owned blogs. Vice should be shut down and face heavy fines for trying to divide Americans.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.
