I just stared today. First time working from home.so far its not too bad.

Yeah I hate it OP. Autism levels going to go turbo with this reclusive hermit lifestyle in my work capsule.

Still, I know it's better than working a real non-office job so I can't complain too much

Remote work since early March crew. So yes, probably lots of people working at home right now.

Traditionally ive always worked in IT. Thats. What my resume is filled. With and my certifications.

At the moment. A company called RXcrossroads contracted me. I am helping patients make sure they get their meds from the pharmacy with their insurance company

Going on 5-6 months now, already looking at other jobs as this one isn't worth going back to the office for, they're so uptight about not being able to control every single second of your day, I hope my life is never as worthless as middle management.

Since February. Really starting to suck that the only time I leave the house is to go to the doctor and grocery store. Missing going into the office just for some social interaction. I live 15 minutes from my office so I don't have that soul crushing commute to work. Ideally, I'd work 5-6 hours at the office so I could be there to talk with who I need to then finish my other 2-3 hours at home in the evening when I can get focused.

I've been 100 percent remote since March. I see comments that it turns you into an aspie, but I don't really find that to be the case. I guess it depends on your job. I'm a IT Systems Engineer, a job which requires me to juggle multiple projects at time, and a lot of collaboration is required with other teams/departments. I find myself in a lot of Zoom meetings throughout the day which basically satisfies that need for social interaction. There is also instant messenger. I like it because I don't have all the random uninvited drive by's of people just coming to my desk and asking me to fix a problem for them while I have like 10 other things on my plate. I also don't get co-workers bombarding their way into my conversations uninvited offering input nobody asked them for; I simply don't invite them to the meeting.

You do miss out on some of the more spontaneous interactions like when you are bull****ting with people in the break room that you don't typically work with, but the positives outweigh the negatives for me. **** traveling every day in traffic and paying for parking downtown. When they ask us to start coming back to work I might have to find a new job that's mostly remote.

Enjoy it op, beats going fighting traffic to reach the office 5 days a week. You can literally sleep until 5 minutes prior you schedule, you can work in your underwear, no spending money on restaurant food, you save on gas, and on slow days you can game and watch TV. Most of us in the office may work 2-3 hours total

Only downside is no sloots for eye candy. Just make sure you get some hobbies or something.

Get some hobbies. These work from home jobs are exposing a lot of people to be boring incels.

I quit my previous job at age 59 and been unemployed till found a new job in October 2019. I started WFH since March 2020, almost six months since then. I miss my colleagues but somehow got used to this new life and work style.

No more crowed round commuter train rides, now additional three hrs a day for myself. The company I work for pays my electric bills and also internet connection fees.

But I think at my age, people contacts are a priceless joy of life.

At this point, I must say that I just want normal life (I mean before COVID) back more than anything, not only for my family but also for everyone else in this world.

When the brick and mortal businesses suffer, sooner or later IT and other industries will follow, and that means no more WFH, about which not that I care very much at this very point of my life.

Been back at home a week now.

I'm actually so glad. Can go for run before work, lunchtime run, and final run at 5pm. So much better than commuting an hour each way.

And can wear trackpants or shorts all day, no makeup, it's got to be good for my skin.

Think our lockdown is scheduled to lift in another week so I'll be back to the office but I'm enjoying this while it lasts.
