Homeless people are mostly homeless by choice. They are drug addicts and a few mentally challenged. Give them a home and they will leave. Really the only thing you can do is not give them money, refuse to give them food, and lock garbage can to prevent them from eating garbage. You get rid of them the same way you get rid of any other pest, don't feed the animals.

no fellas, the real answer is for us to all pay 150% more taxes in order to pay for their well being. Not everyone is built to hold a job or be a responsible member of society, so its up to us who have the ability to work and be an adult to pay for their life style. Maybe if homes were free these people wouldn't be homeless

Homelessness is a highly individual situation, every person is different. Their reasons for being homeless as well as what they want as a solution, all unique.
I think there should be more funding for programs for homeless to get on their feet. The homeless people that ARE capable, willing, and desiring of getting tf out of that situation can take advantage of these programs and get back on their feet.
There should be harsher punishment for violent homeless, and for repeated offending homeless. Especially heavy drug use. Not all homeless people are bad, there are some truly tragic stories out there. But there are some that are completely beyond help. They are dangerous, dirty, and a menace to society. Perhaps creating institutions like prisons but not prisons (as to not fill them up) where they are denied drugs etc and both rehabbed but punished.
It’s a really complicated situation tbh. What it requires is for more people to view them as human and having genuine empathy, while also being aware of the reality not all of them are wanting help and some should be completely eliminated from society

I think the best option for those who can work is for the government to create some job opportunities for them (a lot of homeless do work already). For those who are mentally ill or unfit for work, the best option is some sort of safe care facility that doesn't feel like a prison. A place where they can get rehab, medical care, and live safely like how they do it in Norway or something. Either that or they could just harvest these peoples' organs, terrible as that is. Honestly, the way our government functions, I expect that we will end up doing the latter. They basically let these people rot and put no effort into helping them until they commit crimes and then they lock them away in prison. It's sad that people treat each other this way.
Also, as long as a person isn't making too much of a mess, I see no reason to ban or discourage homelessness. To be homeless is an ancient way of life. The entire notion of a home is a modern construct. It is not necessary for human survival. Some people are not mentally ill, but also do not want to live in a home. They travel around from place to place and live on the streets. They choose to live that life rather than integrate into society completely. Honestly, it's their choice. As long as they follow the laws (and being homeless or sleeping in public shouldn't be against the law imo), they aren't hurting anyone.

when i was a supervisor for a large warehouse i had refugees from the middle east working for me on literally their first day in canada, they literally could not speak a word of or understand english, i had to teach them, hardest workers i ever had, some of them were homeless, most of them living in shelters, but they got out, worked and got a home. it's that easy to just call a number and get a job the same day. i know cause i've done it myself. homeless are just lazy. and we paid good, our workers could make $1k a week if they just did the time.
immigrants from india and asia do the same... first day in canada... call up an agency. get a full-time job the same day. people here don't know how good they got it, there's literally no jobs in other countries, or there's terrorists and wars and ****. people from overseas would kill to have a warehouse or production job. some people from poor countries have to move to saudia arabia to be a farm slave for $2/day
There is only one Hell: the one we live in now.

I think your main issue is with the mentally ill and those addicted to drugs. Homelessness itself is not the main issue. It's the poverty and depression leading to that coupled with the lack of education and mental abilities that makes them so unbearable to be around for most people. If we could get most of this country off drugs and get mental health to those who need it, you'd see a very different society.

All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

most homeless people either choose to be homeless, are criminals, and/or have disorders/issues that won't let them become productive members of society

How can you fix someone that doesn’t want to be fixed? You can offer them housing and a job and most won’t want it. They want to have no responsibilities and to just shoot up and be high all the time. They will only accept money and it will go to drugs or booze. They **** on the sidewalks in front of businesses and restaurants and many harass people just walking by.
There is no fixing them other than a very heavy hand. At minimum, they should be prevented from taking root in a single place which will prevent the crack pipe and heroine needle infested tent cities.
But if it were up to me they’d be put in labor camps. Not only do these fuks not contribute to society but they affect it very negatively. I’d throw their asses into labor camps for some period of time and let them go. If they start ****ting on sidewalks again, back to labor.

The question isn’t what to do with the people that are homeless now it’s what to do to slow down the rate at which people are becoming homeless.
Getting rid of them in any way right now (aside from the larger issues of morality, ethics, and constitutional rights) is like taking a bucket with a hole in it that’s leaking water and continuing to fill up the bucket with more water.
Gotta patch the hole
