No but I'm a manager in the same field (ecommerce warehousing)
A district manager for amazon probably makes 100k. Most managerial or higher up positions come with stock with amazon. Buddy works in corporate for them and got signing bonus, paid for moving, and gave him stocks.
A director for amazon would probably make 150-200k. Maybe more depending on location, but that is pretty high unless he has a proven track record or maybe at one of their biggest warehouses in a higher COL area.
Amazon pays solid and has good benefits. But it sounds a little high either way.

I can see it. Chicagoland is a huge area for amazon. What is he a director of? So the 30k bonus makes sense.
He might be telling the truth.

The warehouse and delivery bros are worked to death and paid ass. I think I remember reading that skilled workers, such as their networking, cyber security, cloud and data teams get paid very well.
I cannot speak for district manager salaries though.

I live in the Seattle area and they are constantly advertising to apply for opening positions on the radio for positions in the Fulfillment Center jobs.
