Jumping Rope is hard as fuk

I never did this as a kid ... I'm doing it now, cotdamn misc, you could have warned me that this requires some coordination and grace.

Think the longest I went today was like for 15-10 secs

But I'm having a ton of fun doing it! enjoying it way more than regular treadmill cardio so far, but I plan on doing both. How good is jumping rope for overall weight loss/athletic ability?

It's great. Makes you light on your toes. Back when I was boxing, we'd jump rope for 9 mins or so before each workout.

It's about a rythm more than it is about anything else, but once your calves get used to it, it's a ton of fun to push it!

Good luck brotha!

Does this help build up the calves?

I'm walking around with 17.5" arms and 13" calves. Can't find anything to get them to grow.

Love jumping rope. It’s my favorite form of pure cardio... my achilles is done now though,
(for different reasons), so I’m unable to. Keep practising OP.
