Why do most people on here always brag about their GROSS income? [SRS]
Seriously, it's so funny. I make X amount a month / year! No you f*cking don't. You make whatever you're left with after all the garbage including taxes is subtracted.
I guess it makes people feel better / richer / whatever, because referring to gross income makes the number greater.
Your NET INCOME, aka take home, is all that counts.
Deal with it. Period.

Why did OP spend 15 days pretending to be dead after a 10 page thread from eating a rat?

Someone is very mad that someone else makes more than them.
Guess what? I have such good medical insurance that it's like I actually make more than my net/gross, but no one talks about that either, let alone 401k matching and stock options.

Cause most of them lie And they feel like nobodys in real life so they feel the need to look like somebody on the internet.
Most people like this amd who are misfits dont understand they are only thatt way cause they act that way. Their behavior is a choice. People are all equal it is only ones behaviour and actions that put one man/woman above or under the other

Well, for one, our effective tax rate is 12% lower on average than in your country so we're left with far more of our gross pay.
Inb4 some lame health care jab, meanwhile my insurance is $19/month and I have thousands in my tax sheltered hsa. Paid for college with tuition assistance from employers too. Have fun with your taxes.

I make 90k before all the deductions and chit. But those deductions also include things like my medical and 401k. Combine that with the fact that I have an outstanding CPA that gets me most of my money back at the end of each year from the thieving government, and realistically I probably pull somewhere around 80-85k.
So, instead of going into all that when someone asks my salary, I simply give them the easy answer of 90k, and they draw their own conclusions about how much I might get to keep.
You would be surprised just how much time I have to waste.
