Mexico brahs, are you ever annoyed how zoomers made avocados trendy

Chit like avocado toast, Gwyneth Paltrow, and other zoomer icons rubbing avocados on their face for purported skin health reasons, avocado shampoo, avocado lotion, etc.

For the last 10 or so years it's become appropriated by the millenial/instagram crowd.

The problem is nobody's eating it the authentic way. Thoughts?

Netflix has a show called Rotten, there is a episode on avocados. Pretty crazy what it has done to benefit the Mexican cartels.

not a mexico brah but the only reason it'd piss me off is if its driving the price up. I eat a **** ton of avocado, on my sandwiches, burgers, etc. I make guac like twice a week too. there was a point when they were like 2 dollars each due to shortages. sucks

Yep key point that I forgot to mention.

The demand has caused the price to rise so that some lower income families can't afford it anymore. The increased demand due to zoomer interest has caused the supply to price out some of the original consumers.

I'm more bothered from Americans as a whole purchasing it, I was able to get it for maybe 10-15% the price 10 yrs ago

Like when they said avocado’s would become $5 a piece if Trump gets elected and kicks all the illegals out who are “the backbone of the economy”?

I’ve seen avocados as the same prices they always were about $0.80 to $1.50 depending on the season. Sometimes as low as $.50/$.60.

Avocados have been trendy for the last 20 years

Where do you live.

I'm in Midwest and they're $2.00 firm at American groceries, probably a little less at Hispanic groceries.

Well, they're around 2-3x what they were like 8-10 years ago, that I remember. Then again, a lot of stuff has gone up in price in a crazy manner in the last years so I guess zoomer ****s eating avocado toast doesn't bother me at all.

It's also probable that the prices have increased to give an easier time to the cartels when laundering their moneys.

The only thing that pissed me off was when some broad try to make guacamole adding fukking green peas to the recipe. And that the price goes from 70c up to 3$ for one depending on the season.

I'm not saying any of that **** dude, I'm just saying my experience. I was in college and there was a shortage of avocados, this was around 2015/2016. They were like $2+ a piece, I remember vividly because I didn't have any fukin money lol.

I don't care really. They bought it so they can eat it however they want. What sucks is that the cowardly cartels have basically taken over avocado profits from the farmers because the popularity spiked. Just stick to running coke and battling politicians man, why attack the little guy?
