I hate to say it because it's an amazing country but Canadians are among the most entitled people on earth. Quebec especially, but it applies to every province.

They act like they have the US economy and the flexibility and size of a nordic nation, instead of a shtty economy that steadily becomes more and more like a banana republic based entirely on domestic real estate growth that's been propped up by money laundering and fraud and the gov has fuked over all future generations to delay the bubble popping.

The entitlement is so strong I can see the demand for communism growing rapidly there as the entitlement continues to massively outpace reality.

Yea it's kind of fked because what they are paying out now is more than what most low income workers earn. Gotta be a better incentive to get back people to work.

Would be sweet if the libs liked oil and gas but w/e.

Will be interesting to see the gong show that happens when people realize they have to pay taxes and/or they try to actually audit abusers of the system. I only took the first two months and got my feet back under me (self-employed here) so didn't take the rest even though I definitely could have.

Glad to see they are still helping people out though. A lot of people are in rough shape.

Brah, when I was in my teens I ran a convenience corner store near a downtown city in southwestern Ontario.. We cashed checks (cheques lmao).. Guess who our number 1 customers were and our only check (cheque lmao) cashers were?.. Low income welfare swine... Literally the filthiest people I've ever fukking seen in my life. Straight gutter trash.

They'd cash their measly checks and spend almost every single penny on chips, pop, junk food, cigarettes, and scratchers/lotto. We would take a fee to cash their money AND they'd spend it all in that chitty little ghetto store. We had em by the balls.

I might get laid off at Xmas. Can I apply for CERB after that?

Wish I had a cash job rn like server, barber, tow truck tradie or the like. I would get the 2K cerb and keep working. 2K for 8 months gross wud be at least 12K to your hand, which is a serious amount.
