*76k reps* GTFIH for the tradie anthem. Tradies assemble.

The ultimate musical tribute to poor working class folk.

In all honesty, David Francey is a fantastic songwriter who was a working class dude for decades before he started putting his songs on record. He'd sing these made up tunes while working as a carpenter.

I worked blue collar jobs to put myself through university. I've done it all. I love lots of love and respect for my tradesman brethren.

Don't forget that Monster energy drink when you hit up the gas station this morning

I used to work public works on summers for the city. We worked approximately 10 hours a day but got every second Friday off. The days went by fast, we drove around town hauling trailers doing jobs. Carpentry, asphalt, painting, repairs, landscaping, building contraptions in nature parks, cleaning up wooded areas, setting up activities for kids for the coming weekend. I really liked it. My stint as a parks and recreation worker was my favorite I'd say.

I work in an "office" now. Sometimes I miss it.

This will probably resonate with my working class friends here - it usually wasn't the job itself that was ass, it was the people. The people, particularly the white collars in the offices pulling the strings, that would ruin the experience. What a shame.

Would never want to be a tradie, it's just not my thing. I respect every line of work anyway unless you're selling your body/soul.
