Misc Guitar Players - How structured is your practice?
The first year that I was learning to play the guitar my practice was very structured. Each practice session had designated times for warmup, chord changes, scales, rhythm, and song practice.
I took a little break and have started to play/practice again. I’m not so much digging the regimented practice anymore, and I’ll spend some time on scales and chord changes, but a lot more time devoted to song practice. I’ve loosened up on my use of the metronome, but I understand that I need to reimplement it.
Are you guys still practicing in a structured way or do you tend to freestyle your practice/playing time?
