I ran 10km for the lawd...

Runner watch said I ran 6.15miles in 1hr6mins. The workout was 10min jog then 6 x 1km at tempo pace with 1min. Jog rest. In other words, OP is a *******, but we already knew that

Thanks for reading.

Every year I start running right before summer and mid summer I have to quit because I get injuries everywhere, feet, ankle, shins,... You're probably doing better than 95% of the misc.

BTW, 6.15 miles isn't quite 10k. 10k is closer to 6.25. But good job! 1k intervals with a minute rest is a great workout for the 5k. Are you planning to race one?

Hey Sam, it's been a while brother. Where I live it's still summer and the hottest days in a year.

So good job and take it easy, soon the best season for run will come!!

Until then our job is to just survive both sweating and smiling.

I used to be Road 10k in 38:36 crew, with an official Cross Country time of 44:48. No, atm I'm follow a base building program from Jack Daniel's Running Formula. It's the same book that got me into 5min mile shape three years ago. The week is basically 30min jog on the easy days, with two tempo runs and a 40min run once a week. I'm doing this along with one-lift-a-day to boost my metabolism, improve aerobic fitness, and stay in good shape. Lol those kms were done at a 10min/mile pace;easy jog for me is like 13min/mile. I'm really out of shape. I used to jog 6:45min/mile when I was in runner shape three years ago.

Maybe I'll do a running race when I'm in better shape. Even three years ago I wouldn't spend $50 on a race ticket unless I planned on hitting a PR of some sort. Lol my running before this was 20min. jogs like once every week or two. I'm shocked that I've got the endurance to do a distance runner workout these days. It'll only get better as my myonuclei, mitchondria, and muscles memory starts kicking in.

Samariwise I do these runs at like 4am. It's hot in Florida I'd never do anything more than a jog unless it's real early.

I have no true aerobic base atm, so yeah. That's why I'm following the Red Fitness Building Plan.

I'm happy for you. You can find a Couch to 5k program or just jog/walk intervals until you're better shape. Power walking is also great cardio if you're willing to subject yourself to the funny looks people will give you when you perform dat race walkers stride. Jogging is not the only to do cardio but it's pretty convenient to just sleep in your workout clothes, slip out of bed, throw shoes on, and put one foot in front of other and already be done in no time.

I was humbled, last Saturday I did the Olympic lifts for the lulz. I can snatch 125 and cleans and jerk 190. I used to clean and jerk 245 in high school. Lol I have muscles but no skill practice.
